Focus
We focus on a variety of treatment needs including: adjusting to normal life challenges and transitions; exploring and healing from past or current traumatic experiences; support for grief & loss; improving a client's ability to manage anxiety and stress; and improving self-esteem and body image. We believe that therapy should include tools and techniques that are well researched and goal oriented, while also using the intrinsic human desire for connection to create change.

TREATMENT
APPROACH
I use a variety of empirically validated treatment approaches based on each individual client's treatment goals and needs.
I am trained to use Eye Movement Desensitation & Reprocessing (EMDR), Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS), Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF CBT) to treat trauma and post traumatic stress disorder. I also use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Solution Focused Therapy (SFT) to address a wide range of treatment needs and treatment goals.
About me
Hi! I'm Brittnai. I began Peace Counseling as way to spread my wings and provide therapy to clients the way I would want for myself and the people I love. I'm grateful to be able to be a part of someone's story and I love my job. My approach is provide a respectful and supportive space for the people I meet to process their life experiences and heal/grow. I use a variety of research supported treatment approaches, along with over 10 years of experience as a therapist to help my clients achieve the goals they set for their lives. I think it's important for people to feel comfortable in therapy. I understand that therapy can feel weird and I use humor, honesty, and empathy to connect with my clients. I believe that those things are the most important components to a successful therapy experience.
